Mud Run Training is coming to The YMCA in Rhinelander, WI
Have you ever thought about or are you planning on doing an obstacle run like the Tough Mudder, the Warrior Dash, One Tough Cookie, Dirty Girl, or the Rugged Maniac this summer or fall? Well, here is your chance to learn, and train for it, with the 8 week Mud Run Training class at the YMCA in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Two personal trainers will be leading the class to help you train and learn how to get yourself ready for a race or two. Obstacle races, or mud runs usually contain running a certain distance and having to overcome certain obstacles such as, climbing over walls or crawling through mud under barbed wire. Doing one of these races will test your endurance, strength, and agility. The Mud Run group fitness class will challenge you and help you train so you are ready complete the race.
The eight-week class will prepare you for the running portion and obstacles that may be encountered during a race. Two personal trainers will work with the class to help you prepare for the race by doing specific strength training exercises, group runs, and pre- and post-workout nutrition education.
The class begins June 25, and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. outside of the YMCA. The cost of the class is $15 for members and $50 for the general public. After all of your training and hard work, sign up and join the instructors on a team, or create your own team for the Suicide Hill Mud Plunge 5K adventure run on August 24 in Ishpeming, Michigan. The Suicide Hill Mud Plunge run registration fee is not included in class price.
