North Roads Bicycle Club
Unique these days! No website or other social media page, but around since 1968. CALL Bill Pearson for any and all information: (715) 234-4127. The NRBC, founded in 1968, Rice Lake, WI, by a dozen Westside riders, has had over 1200 members. Currently, 20 or more regulars participate. Memberships are based on the individual, with no restrictions.
The annual dues known as The Least We Can Do, has not changed since 2000, at $12. The NRBC has provided many overnights for touring riders and people coming to club events. The NRBC has with a 5-point credo: Self-reliance, Joy, Fitness, Economy, and Education. But also, an ABC/1,2,3 saying that one rider is a bike tour, two riders who agree to compete is a race, and three who agree to work, if just a little bit, is a club. Meetings and weekly rides. Also, the “September Song” Memorial Ride (50 miles) is held always on the Saturday following Labor Day since 1968, with anywhere from one rider (due to terrible weather!) to 76 riders. This year: September 12, 2020. Call Bill Pearson for details!
