The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum in Ishpeming, Michigan, is in need of an executive director and has posted notice of the open position.
The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame and Museum recognizes stand-out athletes competing in skiing and snowboarding and those who have make significant contributions to the advancement of these sports at the national and/or international level.
The hall of fame and museum is located in Ishpeming in Michigan's Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the birthplace of organized skiing in the United States, honors nearly 400 individuals and is home to an extensive collection of artifacts and archives relating to the history of skiing.
The executive director is responsible for leadership of the organization and administrative management of its day-to-day operation. The person in this position also must be an advocate for the ski and snowboarding industry and work closely with the National Ski Areas Association, Snowsports Industries America, National Ski Patrol, Professional Ski Instructors of America, U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and other regional and national sport organizations.
The executive director is responsible to a board of directors.
