Hull, Wis., could still close roads to bikes

The Town of Hull in central Wisconsin made national news this past summer when it passed an ordinance that restricted bicyclists and pedestrians on town roads.

The public safety ordinance is now more in line with state statutes and is intended to educate the public, town chairman John Holdridge told the Stevens Point Journal in early February. Holdridge said the town plans to issue a handbook outlining the laws pertaining to cyclists, pedestrians and motorists.
