Tettegouche State Park will receive $3.25 million for needed improvements. According to an announcement by Sen. Grant Hauschild, crews will replace the bridge leading to the campground entrance and upgrade the Visitors Center septic system.
Hauschild said, “We’re incredibly lucky to have a park like Tettegouche State Park that visitors from across the state and country can enjoy, and that delivers incredible benefits for our local economy.” He went on to add, “That’s why we must ensure resources like this have the modern, accessible infrastructure that they need to thrive. This funding will be pivotal to allowing more Minnesotans the great experience they deserve at Tettegouche State Park.”
The project received funding from a portion of a $30 million bonding bill. The funds are allocated to improve public lands and natural resources. As a result, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources chose Tettegouche to receive funding for park improvements.
