Brule Ski Race Scheduled

 The 30th annual River View Loppet will be held Saturday, Jan. 17 at the After Hours Ski Trails in the Brule River State Forest, Brule, WI.  Competition options are a 28 km skate race, 18 km classic race, and 10 km skate or classic races. The event typically attracts 100 skiers.

Volunteers with the Brule Valley Ski Club sponsor the race. Races start at 10 a.m. A silent auction fundraiser begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs for four hours. Registrations may be made online at SkiReg by searching for River View Loppet, or going to www.skireg.com/river-view-loppet-2026.

Registrations by mail may be made by printing the club’s brochure and mailing a check by Jan. 10 to Brule Valley Ski Club, 5223 S. Maple Dr., Poplar, WI 54864. Day-of-race in-person registrations are available for a $20 surcharge.  Details are at www.brulexcski.com.

If weather conditions prohibit the Jan. 17 race, it will be held on Feb. 28.
