Posted

Nordic Mountain has officially opened a new $2.5 million lodge to kick off its 50th anniversary season. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on November 22, 2025, with the ski season opening to the public shortly after on November 29, 2025.

New Lodge Features

The new building provides significant additional space and amenities to enhance the ski resort experience:

  • A bistro and coffee shop.
  • New food service options and added retail space.
  • Locker rooms for the ski patrol and snow sports school staff.
  • Administrative offices located on the upper floor.
  • A concrete plaza with fire pits connecting it to the original lodge.

Owner Rick Schmitz noted that the expansion was necessary due to business growth and aims to provide more space and a better experience for both customers and employees.

The 50th season is being celebrated with various events, including a dedicated 50th Anniversary Party scheduled for Saturday, March 7. You can view more event details on the Nordic Mountain events calendar.
