Peloton Bike+ models recalled for faulty seatpost

Posted

Peloton is recalling about 833,000 of its Original Series Bike+ exercise models because the seatpost assembly can break. To date, there have been three reports of the seatpost breaking and detaching and two reports of injuries because of falling. The recall is for Bike+ units with model number PL02 and serial numbers beginning with the letter "T." The bike measures 4 feet long by 2 feet wide and has an adjustable seat and handlebar. The serial number is located either inside the fork, behind the fork, or behind the flywheel. Consumers should stop using the bikes and contact Peloton for a free seatpost that can be installed.

The bikes were sold online and at Dick's Sporting Goods nationwide from January 2020 through April 2025 for about $2,495.
