Spartan’s 2025 Participation Surges Past Half a Million

Spartan, the global leader in endurance and obstacle course racing (OCR), has already seen more than 500,000 participants cross the finish line in 2025 across 101 events, 42 countries, and over 90 global locations. Across the U.S. and Canada, Spartan will deliver 56 obstacle course races and 12 iconic Tough Mudder events in 2025, directly engaging more than 650,000 finishers from everyday athletes and first-timers to military veterans and elite competitors.

The inclusion of obstacle racing in the 2028 Olympic Games within the modern pentathlon further cements Spartan’s relevance and momentum, bringing even more visibility and credibility to the category.
