Strava announced the addition of Physical Therapy to its platform, allowing athletes to record recovery & rehabilitation sessions alongside traditional activities such as runs, rides, and swims.
The recent update recognises injury prevention and recovery as important elements of an active lifestyle. By treating prehabilitation and rehabilitation as intentional, structured training, the platform aims to provide users with a more comprehensive picture of their fitness journey.
Physical therapy joins more than 50 activity types already supported on the app including yoga, weight training, and pilates.
The inclusion of this activity type is intended to help users build habits and maintain motivation during periods when they may not be able to perform at their peak.
