With L.A.M.B.O., you can make your mark, building and maintaining the trails you and many others will enjoy.
L.A.M.B.O. began in the 1990s with area mountain bikers riding the hiking trails at state parks in the Minocqua Area. Over the years, the club focused on building relationships with the DNR and town of Minocqua through land use agreements. The goal: to develop and build sustainable mountain bike trails for public use.
L.A.M.B.O., a non-profit organization, exits to promote mountain biking as a fun and healthy outdoor activity. We built and maintain the Zip Trails and Raven Trails in the Minocqua area, and the Shannon Lake Trails near Sayner. Our goal also is to develop a new trail system at the Mus-ski Mountain ski area located near Sayner Wisconsin. From cross country skiing and snow showing, to trail running and hiking, our members are enthusiastic about Silent Sports. During non-COVID times, L.A.M.B.O. hosts a Thursday night group ride at the Zip Trails, a guided ride for children and new riders every other week, and rides at various other trails in the area during the week.

Members also organize weekend trips and vacations to mountain biking destinations in the region and elsewhere. As part of our fundraising efforts, L.A.M.B.O. hosts the Fatathalon and Rip Zip and Sip fat tire races in winter, the See-Me-Tri Minocqua Triathlon, a Bike Swap during summer, and trail building at Win-Man Trails.
